Privacy policy
Dodge Daddy collects only what it needs to answer a part inquiry and complete a sale: your name, a phone number or email, the year and trim of your truck, the part you want and anything you add in the notes. It is used to reply to you and to arrange pickup or shipping, kept for up to a year, and never sold, rented or shared for marketing. The site also records how visitors move around its pages, through Microsoft Clarity, with anything typed into a form masked before it leaves your browser. This site sets no advertising cookies.
What we collect
- What you type into the inquiry form: name, phone or email, truck year and trim, the part, pickup or shipping preference, and your notes.
- What the request carries: the network address and browser the form was sent from, and the page it was sent from. These are recorded with the inquiry to help sort spam from real messages.
- Anonymous visit counts through a first-party analytics beacon operated for this site by Blue Crane Works. It records the page viewed and a coarse device type. It does not use cookies and does not follow you to other sites.
- How pages are used, through Microsoft Clarity. Clarity records clicks, taps, scrolling and mouse movement and plays them back as session recordings and heatmaps, so Dodge Daddy can see which parts of the site confuse people. In Microsoft's words,
content in the input boxes is masked in all modes and can't be customized
, and drop-down menus are masked too, so what you type into the inquiry form is never sent to Microsoft. Microsoft handles this data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
What it is used for
To answer your inquiry, quote a part, confirm fit against your truck and arrange pickup or shipping. If you buy a part, the record of that sale is kept as any business keeps its records. We do not send newsletters or marketing messages.
How long it is kept
Inquiry records are kept for up to twelve months and then deleted automatically. Records of completed sales are kept for as long as Canadian tax rules require.
Who can see it
The inquiry is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure, which hosts this site, and is read by Dodge Daddy. If email forwarding is enabled the inquiry is also delivered through an email service. Visit recordings and heatmaps are processed by Microsoft, which runs Clarity, and never contain what you typed into the form. Nothing is sold or shared with advertisers.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or ask a question about this policy through the contact page. Deleting an inquiry does not affect the record of a completed sale.
